Open

Davar Collection

Inspired by the words of Tehillim (Psalms) 51:17, Open reflects the timeless prayer that true expression begins with humility and grace:

אֲדֹנָי שְׂפָתַי תִּפְתָּח וּפִי יַגִּיד תְּהִלָּתֶךָ

"Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall declare Your praise."

Rendered through a distinctive style of interconnected Hebrew lettering, the composition transforms sacred words into movement and form. Individual letters are woven together into a flowing visual rhythm, inviting the viewer to discover meaning gradually through layers of color, texture, and abstraction.

Ancient language and contemporary expression converge, revealing a meditation on voice, gratitude, and the sacred act of expression. The verse reminds us that our words carry weight, and that the deepest forms of praise arise not from ourselves alone, but from a heart opened to something greater.

Through its vibrant palette and flowing forms, Open reflects the belief that speech has the power to illuminate, heal, and uplift. It is an invitation to approach each day with openness, allowing gratitude and praise to find their way into the world through us.
