Bayit
Davar Collection
Rooted in the Hebrew word בית (Bayit), meaning "home," this work is inspired by the understanding that a home is where life is cultivated. In Jewish tradition, the home is more than a place of shelter, it is where faith is lived, wisdom is passed from one generation to the next, and the soul is nurtured.
The vibrant green symbolizes a garden. Just as a garden flourishes only through continual care, so too does a home. Every act of kindness, every word of Torah, every prayer, and every moment of love becomes water that strengthens its roots.
This idea echoes the words of the Torah:
כִּי הָאָדָם עֵץ הַשָּׂדֶה
"For man is like the tree of the field."
Devarim (Deuteronomy) 20:19
Kabbalah teaches that the greatest growth often begins beneath the surface, hidden from view. Before fruit appears, roots must first deepen. In the same way, the unseen moments within a Bayit, the quiet acts of faith, compassion, and devotion shape the life that eventually becomes visible to the world.
Bayit serves as a reminder that the home is the first garden entrusted to us. Whatever we choose to water there will, in time, bear fruit.
