בְּרֵאשִׁית
In the Beginning

Rooted in the opening word of the Torah, בְּרֵאשִׁית (Bereshit) marks the beginning of creation and the first revelation of Divine order within apparent chaos. Before light, before the heavens and the earth, there was possibility waiting to be spoken into existence.

Inspired by the opening verse of the Torah:

בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֵת הָאָרֶץ

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."

 Bereshit (Genesis) 1:1

In Jewish tradition, creation unfolds through Divine speech. The Hebrew letters are not merely a written language but the vessels through which God's will is expressed. Kabbalistic teachings describe the letters as channels of creative energy, reminding us that existence itself begins with the Divine Word.

The contrast of white against black reflects this first emergence of creation, light from darkness, order from chaos, meaning from what first appeared empty. Every beginning carries this same potential. Every thought, every word, and every action has the capacity to shape the world that follows.

Bereshit is a reminder that every new chapter begins the same way creation did: with purpose, intention, and the courage to bring light into the unknown.
