Illuminate

Davar Collection

Inspired by the words of Tehillim (Psalms) 36:10, Illuminate reflects the timeless relationship between life, light, and perception:

כִּי־עִמְּךָ מְקוֹר חַיִּים בְּאוֹרְךָ נִרְאֶה־אוֹר

"For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light."

Rendered through a distinctive style of interconnected Hebrew lettering, the composition transforms sacred words into movement and form. Individual letters are woven together into a flowing visual rhythm, inviting the viewer to discover meaning gradually through layers of color, texture, and abstraction.

Ancient language and contemporary expression converge, revealing a meditation on illumination and perspective. The verse speaks to the belief that true vision is not achieved through sight alone, but through the light by which we perceive. What nourishes life also brings clarity, allowing deeper truths to emerge.

Through its vibrant palette and interconnected forms, Illuminate reflects the enduring idea that understanding itself is a gift, that in the presence of light, we are able to recognize light.
