Promise

Davar Collection

Inspired by the words of Yehoshua (Joshua) 1:3, Promise reflects the enduring faithfulness found in the words spoken to Joshua as he prepared to lead the children of Israel into the Promised Land:

כָּל־הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר תִּדְרֹךְ כַּף־רַגְלְכֶם בּוֹ לָכֶם נְתַתִּיו

"Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, I have given unto you."

Rendered through a distinctive style of interconnected Hebrew lettering, the composition transforms sacred words into movement and form. Individual letters are woven together into a flowing visual rhythm, inviting the viewer to discover meaning gradually through layers of color, texture, and abstraction.

Ancient language and contemporary expression converge, revealing a message of hope, inheritance, and possibility. Promise is a meditation on trust, reminding us that faith often calls us to move forward before we fully see what lies ahead.

Through its vibrant palette and interconnected forms, the work reflects the belief that what has been spoken with purpose continues to resonate across generations, inviting each of us to walk with courage into what has already been prepared.
